Starting December 11, 2026, direct flights will be launched between Astana and Bangkok. Air Astana plans to operate the flights twice a week using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
With the launch of the new route, the total number of flights between Kazakhstan and Thailand will increase to 20 per week. Currently, regular flights operate between the two countries on three routes.
In particular, Air Astana operates 7 weekly flights on the Almaty–Phuket route and 6 weekly flights on the Almaty–Bangkok route. Thai AirAsia X operates 3 weekly flights on the Almaty–Bangkok route, while SCAT operates 2 weekly flights on the Shymkent–Bangkok route.
The launch of the direct Astana–Bangkok route will expand opportunities for tourism and business travel and contribute to strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and Thailand.
