Astana International Airport and South Korea’s Kyungwoon University have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in aviation workforce training and the implementation of modern international standards in the industry.
The agreement provides for the training and professional development of aviation specialists, the exchange of professional and educational expertise, as well as the introduction of international training standards and flight safety requirements.
During the meeting, representatives of the airport and the university discussed opportunities to combine the airport’s practical expertise with Kyungwoon University’s educational experience.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be the creation of a modern training facility at the airport focused on flight safety and the development of human resources for Kazakhstan’s aviation industry.
The joint projects are expected to expand Kazakh aviation specialists’ access to advanced educational practices, strengthen their professional competencies and support the implementation of international standards in civil aviation.
The airport noted that the memorandum provides a foundation for further development of Kazakhstan–South Korea cooperation in aviation education and the implementation of joint projects.
