Cadets of Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Academy have begun their flight training in Petropavlovsk. Practical training sessions are being held at the city’s airport.
Several days ago, the cadets began training flights at Petropavlovsk Airport. They are currently developing their piloting skills using two modern four-seat aircraft.
The training programme includes route flights, exercises in aerobatic areas, as well as visual and instrument approaches to landing. Night flights are also part of the programme.

Anar Zeynil, Deputy Director for Aviation Security at Petropavlovsk Airport, said that six cadets are currently in the city.
«As of today, six cadets have been invited to and arrived in our city, and they have already begun their training flights. Unlike other airports, our airport is less congested, which creates favourable conditions for training flights. The climatic factor is also important. We do not have mountainous terrain; the area is predominantly forest-steppe. This is a significant advantage for training flights», – she said.

The fleet of training aircraft is planned to be increased to 10 aircraft in the future.
In addition, a full-fledged aviation university may eventually be established in Petropavlovsk to train specialists for the civil aviation industry.
