Astana International Airport has set a new record for passenger traffic. In July 2026, more than 1 million passengers used the airport’s services in a single month for the first time. This was reported by the airport’s press service.
The increase was driven by the expansion of the international route network and higher flight frequencies. This year, new routes were launched from Astana to Larnaca, Ulaanbaatar, Guangzhou, Yerevan and Dalaman. As a result, the number of international routes increased from 42 to 47.
The capital’s airport currently operates domestic flights to 18 destinations across Kazakhstan.
Amid growing passenger traffic, the airport is continuing to modernize its infrastructure and improve the quality of passenger services. The airport management plans to further expand its international route network, attract new airlines and increase flight frequencies on the most in-demand routes.
